Plews & Edelmann today launched a full line of UltraLube® food-grade lubricants that meet NSF International standards for use by food, drink and drug manufacturers.

UltraLube® H1 Food Machinery Grease, H1 Food Grade Chain & Cable Lube and H1 Food Grade Hydraulic Oil have been certified by the NSF for use as lubricants in and around food processing areas. Compounds with the H1 designation may be used on food processing equipment as a protective anti-rust film, release agent on gaskets or seals of tank closures, and lubricant for machine parts and equipment in locations where there is a potential exposure of the lubricated part to food.

UltraLube’s biobased oil has four times the natural lubricity of petroleum-based oils, allowing UltraLube to instantly penetrate into areas where lubrication is needed most and create a long-lasting bond to metal and plastic surfaces. UltraLube greases and oils are ideal for environmentally sensitive areas, since they are VOC-free and non-flammable with extremely high flash points.

Specifically formulated with EP additives to provide protection under heavy shock loads, UltraLube® H1 Food Machinery Grease is ideal for lubricating bearings, gears and machine slides. UltraLube® H1 Food Machinery Grease provides superior adhesion and protects all ferrous metal components from rust and corrosion.

UltraLube® H1 Food Grade Chain & Cable Lube provides superior lubricity to protect moving parts, such as chains, cables and rollers. Chlorine-free and safe for all metals, UltraLube® H1 Food Grade Chain & Cable Lube generates less mist than comparable petroleum-based products.

Ideal for use near water or in environmentally sensitive applications, UltraLube® H1 Food Grade Hydraulic Oil is particularly well-suited for large or small cylinders, motors and hydraulic components. Featuring superior flash and fire points for increased safety, UltraLube® H1 Food Grade Hydraulic Oil exceeds the requirements of the Oilgear® Continuous Pump Durability Test and the Oilgear® Cycling Test.

UltraLube® food-grade lubricants are sold by leading industrial suppliers and warehouse distributors across the U.S. and Canada. For more information, visit www.UltraLube.com or call 800-545-1689.
